the bus journey

First day at school
After two days of rest, it was time for our first day at the NWRC(North West Regional College). We got to meet the groups from other countries (Martinique, Slovakia, Italy). Visit at the guildhall
In the afternoon we got out of college and went to the Derry guildhall to learn a bit more about the
history and more importantly - to meet the mayor

App workshops by Martin Peoples
We learned how to use apps like Padlet, Google Drive, Google Maps, YouTube, Thinglink,
Screencast-o-matic and Mentimeter for teaching and learning. We created Padlets, similiar to this one
about our foreign friends.

Using learning technology in Hair & Beauty
We learned more about applications that could be used for lessons and some of us got our hair nicely done ;)
Learning biology with technology
In the morning, our first activity was using apps for learning biology. We worked in groups using YouTube.

Computing lesson by Thomas Moore
We participated in a lesson with local students and helped them with their revision for an upcoming
exam. The revision was done using QR Codes scanned by the pupils with tablets. The rest of the
lesson was done using a presentation.

Bowling - integration
In the evening we went to a bowling alley with all the students from different countries and some
teachers and other staff from the college. It was very fun, we also had dinner there.

The Giant's Causeway
We went to a rock formation called The Giant's Cause way, up on the northern coast of Northern Ireland. The view from the cliffs was astonishing. The weather was pretty bad, it was very windy, so windy you would get blown off the rocks if you weren't careful.
The Flying Clipper
As the ending of the day we went to the fancy restaurant run by the college called "The Flying Clipper" and had dinner there.
Summary
On friday morning, we attended a summary of the irish mobility. The week was great fun, a time well spent with great people. It was also a time to say goodbye to our Slovakian friends who were departing for Dublin that day.
The End
At night we departed for Belfast and flew back to Poland, the mobility officially ended for us in the afternoon after everyone went home.

  1. From Monday to Friday we went to the college. There, we did workshops on Google. Once, we went to see the Giant's Causeway. We had a device which introduced the Giant's Causeway and its history. It was very windy but it is a beautiful place. The entire group was surprised and happy to see this place.
Next, we went to see the Ballintoy point. Some of Game of thrones scenes has been shot there, this place was beautiful too.

During the trip in Nothern Ireland, we went to a bowling alley (it was my first time). Before playing, we visited the Bowling alley. There were shops, fast foods, acarde games ( we didn’t play in the acarde game because we didn’t have money). After explaining the rules of the bowling, we did 3 groups to play. My best memoryis when I made a strike in the 7th round, I was very suprised and proud of myself ^^.
